LISBON FALLS — Lisbon’s Moxie Festival Committee has announced a new location for the event’s annual car show, which will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, July 10. Traditionally the show has been held on the lower soccer field behind Lisbon High School. This year the show – which draws hundreds of cars from all over New England – will take be held in the large field at Beaver Park on Cotton Road, in Lisbon.
The park has recently undergone a series of upgrades, including updating roads and trails, and more than doubling the amount of parking. There is a large field immediately to the left of the park’s entrance, making it an easily accessible location. Work at the park has been specifically to ready it for its entrance into festival participation. This early preparation is made possible by the venue change, as in previous years the field shared by the school department had school activities right up until the days immediately before the festival.
This year’s Moxie Car Show will continue to offer first, second and third place prizes in a variety of categories, as well as Best in Show. Food trucks and concessions will be available throughout the show, and there will be live music at the event. Admission is $10 per vehicle and $5 per spectator, with all proceeds benefitting the Sunshine Hill Seniors program at the MTM Community Center. For information, visit moxiefestival.com.
