AUGUSTA – Maine-ly Harmony women’s barbershop chorus installed its board of officers for the fiscal year April 2023-March 2024 on April 5.
Officers are Peg Dubrow, member at large; Judy Labonte, member at large; Kathy Joyce, secretary; Janet Dunham, treasurer; Barbara Combs, vice president; Sue Staples, president. Installing officers were Anne Danforth and Cathy Anderson.
Outgoing officers, who served two-year terms because of the pandemic, are Candice Pepin, president; Staples, vice president; Jennifer Clair, secretary; Betty Avery and Tina Barker, members at large. Dunham remained treasurer.
Maine-ly Harmony’s members come from many areas of the state weekly to sing in four-part harmony with women of all ages. The focus is enjoyment of music, fun and friendship. Director is Kathy Greason, of Brunswick. Women and girls are welcome to join.
The chorus rehearses 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays at Randolph United Methodist Church, 16 Asbury St., Randolph.
The group is back to taking requests to sing at celebrations and for organizations.
Upcoming performances are May 11 at the Gardiner Alzheimer’s Facility, June 12 at MaineGeneral Rehab and Long Term Care, June 21 at Arch Beta in Augusta and Aug. 23 at the Lewiston Armory, for Lewiston Seniors.
