Warm Thy Neighbor heating assistance program runs through March

BRUNSWICK — Tedford Housing’s emergency heating assistance program, Warm Thy Neighbor, opened on Nov. 1 to provide qualifying households with 100 gallons of heating fuel, or equivalent, during the heating season. The program runs through the end of March.
Warm Thy Neighbor was started by Sallie Smith and taken over by Tedford Housing in 2010. The program is funded entirely by community donations, and serves households in Brunswick, Topsham, Harpswell, Bailey Island, Cundy’s Harbor, Lisbon Falls, Lisbon, Lisbon Center, Bowdoin, Bowdoinham and Durham. Last season, Warm Thy Neighbor served 112 households.
