LISBON FALLS — The community has rallied around Flux Restaurant sous chef Cameron Graf after he suffered severe burns while cooking.
The Flux Restaurant staff launched a GoFundMe fundraiser to help sustain Graf as he recovers from his injuries.
Owner Jason LaVerdiere wrote, “Our mission is to raise funds beyond what insurances will be providing to assist him financially in what is going to be a long, difficult recovery. We want to get Cameron doing what he loves – fishing- as quickly and painlessly as possible!”
In the first day, the community has contributed nearly $23,000, and since then, the fundraising goal has been expanded.
“This injury is going to prohibit our friend from being able to work or perform normal occupational activities much longer than we originally thought,” Laverdier wrote. “The generosity thus far has been incredible, let’s keep it going! A huge thank you to each and every donor, it is appreciated beyond words.”
