Sabattus Legion Post 135 community breakfast is Feb. 2

SABATTUS — The American Legion Harry J. Conway Post 135 will hold its monthly public Community Breakfast from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, at the post, 40 Island Road.

The Sabattus American Legion holds community breakfasts the first Sunday in February, March, April, May and June. The June breakfast is the Scholarship Breakfast.
The cost is $8 per person. World War II veterans and children under 10 eat for free.
The menu includes scrambled eggs, eggs to order, French toast, chipped beef, pancakes, sausage, ham, baked beans, two types of country fries, toast, muffins, orange juice, coffee, tea and milk.
Proceeds from the breakfast support community and veteran’s programs, such as veteran rehabilitation, national security, Americanism and children and youth.
The Sabattus American Legion has been serving the community since December 1924. Note that the eligibility date for Legion membership for active service has been extended from Dec. 7, 1941, until present. Veterans are welcome to join the Legion.
