LISBON — American Legion Post 158 recently held a benefit spaghetti lunch for Ciera Miller’s upcoming journey to France.
For those of you who don’t know, Ciera Miller she is a really lovely girl from Lisbon. She is a 2017 graduate of Lisbon High School and is now studying at the University of Maine Farmington. As a sophomore honor student, she has received a scholarship to travel to France in the spring of 2020 and continue her studies.
Although her scholarship covers travel expenses, it does not cover personnel expenses.
Therefore the Lisbon American Legion Post 158 stepped up to hold the benefit lunch, raffles and an evening dance. Approximately 75 people showed up for the event.
