LISBON — The Lisbon Historical Society will host photographer Steve Carlson on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
Carlson, of Lewiston, has been an instructor in basic photo courses with adult education for several years. He is a former U.S. Navy photographers mate, and has been collecting camera for more than 50 years. His topic will be “Cameras — Unique in Design and Purpose.”
Carlson has an extensive collection of cameras, many of which he displayed at the annual society antique night this past year. He will show and explain cameras from pinhole to Polaroid, undercover to underwater, highlighting the features of cameras from 1936 to 1999.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event starts at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served following the event.
The Lisbon Historical Society is in the MTM Center, 18 School St., Lisbon Falls. Parking is at the rear of the MTM building, as is the entrance to the Society rooms.
