Bowdoin Fire Department auxiliary spring garage sale is May 18

BOWDOIN — Bowdoin Fire Department’s Women’s Auxiliary will be holding its spring garage sale, bake sale and raffle from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18.

The sale will be held inside the fire department garage on Cornish Drive off of Main Street in Bowdoin (next to the Town Hall). Table rentals are available and can be reserved by calling Alberta Greenleaf at 207-666-5752 or Patty Elwell at 207-666-5974. Tables are 8 ft. long and all goods must be placed on the table or UNDER it to avoid tripping hazards. Please reserve enough tables to display your goods. Doors will be open for vendor set-up at 8 a.m.
In addition to the bake sale, steamed hot dogs with all the fixings will be available for purchase as well as chips and both hot and cold beverages. All vendors get free hot coffee. Raffle tickets can be purchased ahead of time from members of the auxiliary or at the day of the event. Drawings for the raffle prizes will be held at 2 p.m. Those who are drawn for prizes need not be present to win.
Finish up your spring cleaning by selling all those no longer needed items from your attics, garages, etc. and earn some extra cash while helping out the community.
The auxiliary and the Bowdoin Volunteer Fire Dept. are still offering two sided, reflective metal signs with your street number for $15. These will help the fire dept. and 911 responders find your residence easily in an emergency, day or night.
If you haven’t already purchased your sign, take this opportunity to order one at the garage sale. Signs are dark blue with white letters. Payment will be expected at the time of ordering. You will be notified when your sign is ready.
