LISBON — The Coombs-Mountford Post 158 had its annual free “Early Bird Special” dinner and dance Oct. 14, held as a special thank-you to members who pay their dues early.

The menu was charcoal-grilled rib eye steak, mashed potatoes and a veggie (and believe me, it was good). DJ The Doyle Brothers provided the dance music, and brothers Richard and Ed Doyle always play until we stop dancing.
Among those attending were Robin and Ralph Carter, Madelyn Belanger, Shep Shepardson, Irene Huston, Loretta and Dwight Wight, Nancy Frost, Terry Hall, Gail Marcouillier, Vaughn and Lori Simard, Velvet Mullen, Willie and Lauris Dolloff, Linda Craige, Karen Megar, Karen and Post Commander Ron Saindon, Post Chaplin Lewis Crafts, Robin Carter, Alexis Keene, Genie Chaisson, Janice St. Amant, Farmer Joe St. Amant, Gracie Farnum, Wendell Moore, Jack Davis Trudy Storman, Lori Adamson and Rusty and Cindy Pomelow.
Doing the hard work in the kitchen were Janice Jordan, Vaughn Simard, Michell Foss, Lori Simard and Richard Everette. Farmer Joe made the masterpiece of a cake.
