Lisbon Golden Reunion will be held Sept. 8

LISBON — The Lisbon Golden Reunion, for anyone who attended Lisbon or Lisbon Falls high schools 50 years ago or more, will be held Saturday, Sept. 8.
The reunion will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston, and those attending may bring guests.

People are attending from many classes from 1943 through 1968. More than 100 are registered so far and people are coming not just from Maine and New England, but all over the United States. The final date for registration is Aug. 31.
The festivities will begin at 11 a.m. with a time to socialize, followed by a dinner served buffet style at 12:30 p.m.. Music will be provided by DJ Mike Violette, featuring music from the 40s, 50s and 60s. For registration information, contact violette1@roadrunner.com or 207-353-8013 and leave a message. The deadline to register is Aug. 31.
The Lisbon Golden Reunion has a Facebook page, where there are registration forms and information about the reunion, and a way to connect with other classmates. The Ramada Inn has set aside several rooms for attendees at reduced rates if reservations are made before Aug. 24.
Each year, in addition to donations, a raffle is held at the reunion to benefit for Golden Reunion Scholarship Fund. This year two scholarships of $1,000 have been awarded to Melissa Wood and Benjamin Leclair.
