LISBON — Young adults who are charter members of Lisbon’s Green Thumb Gang are being called upon to participate in a Historical Society meeting.
The Green Thumb Gang and it’s beginning will be the subject of the March Lisbon Historical Society meeting, 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at the MTM building. Noyes Lawrence and Faye Brown will be the guest speakers.

The Green Thumb Gang was founded by a small group of volunteers to help beautify the town for its bicentennial in 1999. Organizers worked with the kindergarten classes of the MTM School and their teachers until that class entered the new Lisbon Community School as sixth graders.
“The kids were wonderful, hardworking and talented,” said Brown. “I am hoping to get in touch with all of them.”
Brown asks that Green Thumb Gang “kids” give her a call at 207-353-5771, and leave a name and a brief message about the paths chosen as a young adult.
“I hope many of you will be at the MTM program,” Brown said.
