WATERVILLE — Area students were named to Colby College’s fall 2017 dean’s list.
Some 469 Colby students — or 24 percent of the qualified student body — were named to the dean’s list for the semester. Students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.77 or higher last fall to be included.
Area students named to the list include:
Hannah O. Hartnett, of Hebron, who attended Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and is the daughter of Patrick and Tracey Hartnett of Hebron. A member of the class of 2020, she has not declared a major.
Kaitlin M. Volk, of Bowdoin, a member of the class of 2019, attended Mount Ararat School and is the daughter of Ronald and Lisa Volk of Bowdoin. She is majoring in biology with a concentration in ecology and evolution and environmental science.
Ian H. Mitchell of South Portland, a member of the class of 2020, the son of Patricia Higgins of Sabattus and Andrea Mithcell, of South Portland. He has not declared a major.
