BRUNSWICK — The Joshua L. Chamberlain Civil War Round Table lecture will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8,at Curtis Memorial Library’s Morrell Room, 23 Pleasant St.
Speaker Mike Bell will discuss “The Arkansas Traveler; the Life and Times of Thomas Benton Kendrick.”
Bell has recently discovered information about an ancestral grandfather who served in the southern army for nearly two years during the Civil War.
Bell is an instructor for Senior College at the University of Maine at Augusta, has appeared on the History Channel, and has spoken to many civic and educational groups in Maine and elsewhere. The lecture is free and open to the public; donations are welcomed.
