SABATTUS — The American Legion Harry J. Conway Post 135 will hold its monthly community fundraising breakfast Sunday, Nov. 5, from 7:30 to 10 a.m., at the post located at 40 Island Road. The breakfast is open to Legion members and to members of local communities.
The proceeds from the breakfast support community and veteran’s programs; veteran rehabilitation and employment; national security; Americanism and children and youth activities.
The menu consists of scrambled eggs, eggs to order, French toast, chipped beef, pancakes, sausage, ham, baked beans, two types of country fries, toast, muffins, orange juice, coffee, tea and milk.
The post holds a community fundraising breakfasts the first Sunday of the month in November, December, February, March, April, May and June, the latter designated a scholarship breakfast.
The Sabattus American Legion has been serving the community since December 1924. Volunteers to help with breakfast are always welcome as is anyone wanting more information about becoming a member.
