SABATTUS/LITCHFIELD — The Oak Hill Adult & Community Education program will be offering a free literacy opportunity for children — StoryTime Adventure Hour — designed for children 2- to 4-years-old and not yet enrolled into the district preschool program. During StoryTime Adventure Hours, an adult education instructor will be providing family literacy techniques to use in the home and daily routines for reading a special-themed story each month, reiterating comprehension with a hands-on activity for each child. Children leave with a copy of the book used during StoryTime Adventure Hour.

StoryTime Adventure Hours will be held Mondays, Oct. 16 and 23, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Sabattus Primary School library, 36 No Name Pond Road. Classes also will be held Thursdays, Oct. 12 and 26, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Libby-Tozier School library, 466 Academy Road, Litchfield.

There is a minimum number of four participants required to hold the class and a maximum of 10 for each class. Registration is online at sabattus.maineadulted.org or by phone, 207-375-6605. Pre-registration allows for planning with books and materials.
