LISBON FALLS — The LACO Food Pantry is holding a food drive-bake sale-bottle drive on Friday, Oct. 6, and Saturday, Oct. 7.
The drive will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 6, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 7, at the Food City Supermarket, Route 196. Organizers said they hope to “fill the van” with donations to help feed the hungry in Lisbon, Lisbon Falls, Durham, and Bowdoin.
Food donated should be non-perishable in boxes or cans.
The food pantry often has to buy cases of food at retail prices, so any donations of food, clothing or money is appreciated.
The food bank is located at the side entrance of the Marion T. Moore Elementary School, School Street, and serves an average of 219 families a month, 369 adults and 193 children. For more information, call Bert Levesque at 207-216-3460.
