LACO benefit car show to be held June 3 at Shiloh Chapel

LISBON FALLS — The Lisbon Area Christian Outreach benefit car show, hosted by Yankee Cruisers Car Club, will be held Saturday, June 3, at Shiloh Chapel in Durham. Registration is from 8 to 11 a.m., and the event includes crafters and food.

“Summer is especially hard for families when free school meal programs end,” said Bob Couture, LACO president, in a news release. “Funds raised from this event will allow us to give more food and healthy snacks over these critical months.”

Last year LACO provided food to 6,421 individuals (4,356 adults and 2,065 children), including 147 new households and 326 registered families, who made 2,371 visits, according to Carol Day, pantry coordinator.
Founded in 1985, LACO is a nonprofit organization that serves the Lisbon, Durham and Bowdoin communities. The food and clothing pantry is at the rear entrance of the MTM Center on School Street in Lisbon Falls.
