Special Olympics fundraiser features Wreath of Hope through Dec. 31

RUMFORD — The Wreath of Hope fundraiser for Special Olympics’ Team Sunshine will run from Nov. 21 to Dec. 31. Those who wish can purchase a light, which will be part of the display on the Route 2 side of the Hope Association building.

There will be lights of blue, green and yellow, with the blue lights in memory of a person or pet. The green lights will be in honor of a person who is serving or has served in the military, and the yellow lights are for friendship or love. There will be a displayed list of purchased lights at Hope Association. These lights will be sold by participants from Hope Association, at the Christmas in the Valley craft fair or some area businesses.
