DIXFIELD – The Dirigo High School drama club recently performed “Lady Pirates of the Caribbean” as its spring production.
The play, which took the stage April 6 and 7 at Dirigo, was directed by Laura Johnston and Bethany Meehan-Poulin.
The cast included Vince Chapman, Clayton Swan, Owen McLain, Payton McDaniel, EJ Williams, Jesse Beaucage, Kiera Goodwin, Isis Nelson, Keaghan Little, Victoria Araujo, Lili Salvati, Isaac Delude, Elliot Richardson, Aubri Libby, Marley Berry, Max Giberson, Ethan Knowles, Aurora Maillet, Riley Jordan, Sophie Poulin, Nyla Abbott, Alice Morris, Marlee Gray, Sammantha Searles, Maddy Welsh and Kaedan Swan.
In the play, a chest of gold sent to help orphaned children is stolen by pirates. Lucky Lu and her Lawless Ladies avoid walking the plank and help return the gold to the orphanage. The exciting pirate adventure included dancing and sword fights – good fun for all!
