LEWISTON — Lisbon/Oak Hill girls track and field team won their second Class C Championship in a row, handily coming out on top at the meet held June 4 at Lewiston High School on June 4. The Lisbon/Oak Hill boys finished third, behind Winslow and Orono.
The Greyhounds competed against 28 Class C schools, and scored 119 points, with Orono second with 82 points. The top boys team was Winslow, with 86 points, Orono had 74.5 and Lisbon/Oak Hill 70.
Top Greyhounds performances were: Sara Moore 1st – -100 meter dash, 2nd -high jump, 1st – long jump, 2nd -triple jump; Kayla Cooper – 1st -400 meter dash, 3rd -100 meter dash, 3rd –200 meter dash; Amanda Mooney 1st –1600 race walk; Kiana Goldberg 1st – 100 meter hurdles, 2nd -300 meter hurdles, 6th -long jump; Gabrielle Chessie 2nd –200 meter dash, 3rd -long jump, 3rd -triple jump; Chessie, Goldberg, Cooper and Emily Westland – 1st in the 4×100 meter relay.
The top Lisbon/Oak Hill boys were: Owen Booker 2nd – javelin, 5th -triple jump, 6th -pole vault; Payden Ventry 2nd -1600 race walk; Aiden Violette 2nd- 400 meter dash; Emmett Mooney 3rd- 200 meter dash, 7th- 100 meter dash; Joshua Gosselin 4th- 3200 meters; Hunter Burkhardt 2nd- 1600 meters, 8th- 800 meters; 4×100 meter relay team of Emmett Moone, Adam Hayes, Bryce Mitchell and Gavin Grenier finished 4th; 4×400 relay team of Emmett Mooney, Gavin Grenier, Wyatt Perron and Hunter Burkhardt finished 2nd; 4×800 relay team of Darien Davis, Aiden Violette, Hunter Burkhardt and J. Gosselin was 1st.
