RUMFORD — The Rumford Area Historical Society will hold its annual meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, in the auditorium at Rumford Town Hall, 145 Congress St.
Attendees should enter and exit Town Hall through the River Street entrance.
There will be a casual picnic-style potluck from 5 to 6 p.m., with an Italian theme to coincide with the evening’s program about the history of the Rumford Sons of Italy. Tony Desalle will be the guest speaker. Attendees may bring their best picnic dishes/desserts to share. Coffee and soft drinks will be provided. The meeting is free and open to the public, and new members are always welcome.
The short business meeting at 6 p.m. will include election of officers and directors for 2022-23.
