Robyn Babbidge and Jayden Gustafson, students at Oak Hill Middle School, in Sabattus, spearheaded a fundraiser to collect money for Ukrainian refugees fleeing their homes. The pair was inspired to do something proactive to help with this humanitarian crisis after watching news coverage and talking about current events in their Social Studies class. With the help of their seventh grade classmates, fliers were distributed to every student in the building, and in less than two weeks, $451 was raised. The money was donated to the International American Red Cross Ukrainian Refugee Fund. (Submitted photo)
