Merrymeeting Food Council farm labor roundtable to be held Dec. 16

BOWDOINHAM – The Merrymeeting Food Council welcomes farmers, farm laborers and service providers to join a roundtable event from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at Merrymeeting Hall, 33 Main St.
The aim of the event is to discuss farm labor models, share resources, and build a network focused on short and long term solutions to recent labor shortages.
Planning partners for the event include area farmers and representatives of Bowdoinham Community Development Initiative; Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust; the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry; the Maine Department of Labor; Land for Good;Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association; the University of Maine Cooperative Extension; Merrymeeting Food Council; and others.
