LISBON FALLS — There will be a soil health workshop on Wednesday, Sept. 18, for those interested in improving soil conditions to better their chances of having successful gardening or farming experiences.
The Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District, along with the Umaine Cooperative Extension, will host the workship, which is free, and which will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. in the first floor conference room at the UMaine Extension Office, 24 Main St.
The content will consist of a lecture style presentation by Nick Rowley of Highmoor Farms, followed by an in-field sheet mulching demonstration at the Lisbon Community Garden.
