DURHAM — The deadline town’s photo contest that seeks the images that “best share the beauty and character of our town” has been extended to May 31 because of a low number of submissions. The original deadline was Feb. 24.
The first place prize is $100, with prizes of $50 for second and third place, and the photos will be displayed on the town’s website and int he town office. The contest is open to non-residents as well as residents of the town.
Categories are Durham at Work, Durham at Play and Durham Natural Beauty and entrants can submit up to three photos per category. Submissions must include category, a photo description, email address, phone number, physical address, and attach photos with the file name lastname_category.jpg. All images must be 2000 pixels minimum in length.
