ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Hayley Steckler of Pownal, Maine, was among 511 students to graduate from Muhlenberg College May 17.
She was also among a record 71 Muhlenberg students who were recognized for their performance in the classroom and on the field, court, track and course, with their selection to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the spring 2018 season.
Steckler graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in media and communication and business administration, one of 267 students to graduate with distinction or honors.
To be named to the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average.
The number of honorees breaks the previous Muhlenberg mark of 68 set last spring. Women’s track & field (15), baseball (14), women’s lacrosse (14) and men’s track & field (10) all reached double figures in Academic Honor Roll members.
