SABATTUS — The Harry J. Conway Post 135 American Legion will hold its second annual Memorial Day 5k Monday, May 28.
The 5k will start at the Legion hall on Island Road at 8 a.m. Registration is race-day only, and will begin at 7 a.m. at the Legion hall.
The event will precede the traditional Memorial Day Parade, and all participants are invited to stay to see the parade after the race. Registration is $15 for adults, and $10 for those 17-under.
Medals will be awarded for age-group winners, and there will be several raffles.
The proceeds of the race will go to support the annual Sabattus American Legion scholarship at Oak Hill High School in Wales.
