L.L. Bean hosts Scout-O-Rama in Freeport May 12

FREEPORT — LL Bean will ohost Scout-o-rama on the grounds surrounding its store in Freeport Saturday May 12.
The event kicks off at 9 a.m. with a parade of Scouts down Main Street, followed by a day of activities for Scouts and the public at the retailer’s Discovery Park.

“This is a chance for Scouts, families and the public to experience a variety of outdoor sports, and activities like archery, fat tire biking, outdoor cooking, skateboarding, and even race a Pinewood Derby car,” said Ken Sparta, program director, Pine Tree Council, Boy Scouts of America. “I guarantee it will be a fun time for the whole family and everyone is welcome!”
According to Eric Tarbox, CEO and Scout executive at Pine Tree Council, “We are excited that LL Bean is again partnering with us to offer this fun, adventure-filled day for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Venturers, Explorers and Sea Scouts. This is also an opportunity for other youth, families and the public interested in Scouting to experience what Scouting has to offer.”
