LISBON — The Mount View Chamber Singers will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. Friday, May 18, at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 496 Lisbon St.
Based at Mount View High School in Thorndike, the group is an acapella choral chamber group with five sopranos, five altos, five tenors and five bass singers.

“Bring your family and friends to experience traditional and modern music from this extraordinary group of young people,” said the Rev. Beau Wagner, St. Matthew’s rector.
The church will provide free refreshments and desserts after the concert. The group will accept donations to help fund travel.
The ensemble, directed by David Stevenson, has presented their music to many people and cultures from Europe to Central America. They recently returned from a tour of Rome, Venice, Florenc, and Pisa, singing in such venues as Basilica di San Marco in Venice and St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican.
The 27-year-old choral group is known throughout Maine for its annual Carols in the Round performances during the Christmas season.
