Calling all ice fishermen to benefit derby Feb. 3

SABATTUS — Oak Hill Boosters will host its annual Pike Fishing Derby from 6 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Sabattus Lake. With $3,500 in cash prizes for first, second, and third prizes, everyone who registers will also be entered into a registration ticket raffle, with prizes that include over $4,500 worth of ice fishing equipment.

Prize categories include: biggest pike $2,000; second biggest $1,000; and third biggest $500. Other prizes include a 6×10-foot ice fishing shack, three Jack Traps ultimate ice fishing packs, two ice augers, 15 Jack Traps, and two overnight stays at the historic Pittston Farm.

Visit www.ohpikederby.com to register or for more information. Registration for adults is $20 and for kids under 12 is $10. Kids’ tickets are not eligible for the raffle and cash prizes. A separate perch category and prizes will be provided for kids.

Tickets can also be purchased at Waterman’s Farm Machinery, Lapointe’s Lawn and Garden, Percy’s Hardware, Litchfield Town Office, Sabattus Town Office, Jack Traps, and Turner Publishing’s office at 5 Fern Street in Turner.
