LISBON — Emily Caron, 6, of Lisbon is the winner of Lisbon Community Federal Credit Union’s holiday card artwork contest for children 12 and under.
Emily won $50 and a chance to have her artwork featured on the credit union’s 2016 holiday greeting cards.
Visitors to the credit union voted on the artwork received from 20 children, which was displayed at the main office in the lobby for one week. More than 100 votes were tallied. The kids worked hard on their designs, and all contestants received many votes.
Emily came in with her mother Catrece on Saturday morning, Dec. 10, to pick up her prize. When asked what she planned to do with her prize, Emily said “Half goes in my account, and with the other half I am buying some Shopkins (collectible characters)!”
Her mom added, “She’s over the moon and is telling everyone she sees that she won!”
Second place went to Denae St. Jean, 12, of Lisbon. Tied for third place were Tanner Melanson, 7, and Sophie Maloy, 11, both of Lisbon Falls.
Runners up each received $10 Monty Moose bucks!
