Cobbossee watershed presentation is Feb. 22 in Winthrop

WINTHROP – A presentation, Q&A and conversation about restoring alewives, American eels and other sea-run fishes into the Cobbosseeconte Watershed will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Bailey Library, 39 Bowdoin St.
“Restoring Native Sea-Run Fishes into the Cobbosseeconte Watershed” will cover the history, the dams, the fishes, the environment and water quality of the Cobbossee watershed, which spans 217 square miles in central Maine.
The event is free and open the public. Pizza and refreshments will be served.
