GARDINER – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Kennebec Valley Blossom Early Learning Center celebrated the Week of the Young Child, with support from a grant from the Maine Association for Education of Young Children.
The grant helped support activities for the infant through first-grade programs at the Sandra M. Prescott Clubhouse the week of April 3-7. The Week of the Young Child is an annual celebration sponsored by NAEYC to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.
Children of the Club’s Blossom Early Learning Center participated in daily activities that included an outdoor dance party; Eat the Rainbow with a colorful fruit platter; comfy corner reading hour, thank you card creations for their families, and more.
