Gardiner teacher named VFW Maine Teacher of the Year

AUGUSTA – Gardiner teacher Rebecca McLaughlin was named Veterans of Foreign Wards, Department of Maine, Teacher of the Year for 2022.
McLaughlin is a third grade teacher at Riverview Elementary School, and was nominated by the Bagley-Gardiner-Foster VFW Post 9. Her nomination and biography will be sent to the VFW national headquarters, where she will compete for the VFW National Teacher of the Year. That winner will be determined later this spring.
