WINSLOW – Winslow High School hosted its annual Admit in a Day for seniors on Nov. 29.
Admission representatives from the University of Maine, Husson University, Thomas Colalge, Kennebec Valley Community College, the University of Maine at Augusta and University of Maine at Farmington were at the school, and gave students on-the-spot admission decisions, as well as feedback on their applications.
Of the high school’s 101 seniors, 61 scheduled 117 admissions appointments for application review. The high school reported that 100% of the students who participated were accepted at one or more colleges.
The six colleges and universities also awarded $2,038,000 in merit scholarship to students, as long as they maintain a required grade point average.
