CVA’s Michaud finishes fifth, sixth at U.S. Freestyle Nationals

Carrabassett Valley Academy senor Dory Michaud, of Carrabassett Valley, had a sixth-place finish in moguls and a fifth in dual moguls at the U.S. Freestyle National Championship, held at Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, competing against the country’s top mogul skiers, including the U.S. Moguls Team. Michaud this season consistently placed in the top 10 at NorAm Cup level events, as well as placing fifth at U.S. Selections. “Dory is carrying on the tradition of Maine’s world-class mogul skiers,” said CVA Head of School Kate Punderson. “It has been such a joy to watch her develop as a skier, student, and leader here at Sugarloaf and CVA. We are all so proud of her efforts. She has earned her place among the country’s best mogul skiers,”
