Gould Academy ski and snowboard earns gold certification

BETHEL – Gould Academy’s ski and snowboard club has been named a gold-certified club by U.S. Ski & Snowboard, the highest honor that the professional organization can bestow upon a school or club.
“This marks an important milestone for Gould Academy, and is an achievement that we can all take pride in,” Tao Smith, Gould head of school. “Gould has a long and storied history of ski and snowboard excellence, going back nearly 100 years. Congratulations to our current students and coaches, and to the generations of Gould alumni and former staff who so deservedly earned this recognition. Gould is a nationally recognized leader in the sports of ski and snowboard, and will continue to model our commitment to individual and team success as we grow and expand our diverse and exciting sports offerings for youth.”
The process also looks at the institution as a whole, including Gould’s academic program, advisory system, and cultural enrichment opportunities.
