Local author to donate to Winslow food pantry

WATERVILLE – Local author David M. Carew is making a donation to the Winslow Community Cupboard Food Pantry for every copy of his new book, “Lucy’s in the Neighborhood: A Novel of Maine,” ordered by readers online between Monday, Aug. 22 and Wednesday, Aug. 24.
The story is set in contemporary Waterville and is published by Maine Authors Publishing.
Carew’s other works include “Voice from the Gutter” and “Everything Means Nothing to Me: A Novel of Underground Nashville,” which The Tennessean hailed as “haunting, beautiful, powerful.” He worked for more than 20 years as a publicist in Nashville before returning to Maine in 2016.
