TOPSHAM – The Topsham Public Library will host the Jammin’ in June concert series at 1 p.m. Saturday throughout June. All shows are free, open to the public and held on the library’s back lawn, under the big tent, 25 Foreside Road.
Acts include:
June 4 – Midcoast High Winds Flute Choir, an ensemble of amateur and professional musicians from the Midcoast region who perform classical, folk and popular music arrangements, as well as original compositions. High Winds members also perform on less common instruments, including piccolos, alto flutes and bass flutes, giving the ensemble a wide spectrum of pitches and tonal colors. Currently under the direction of Carolyn Lanigan.
June 11 – The All Ways One Band, a multi-generational family band that has an acoustic repertoire ranging from classic folk, rock and country songs to modern top 40 hits.
June 18 – Simons and Goodwin, featuring Bob Simons and Renee Goodwin, who perform contemporary and traditional folk and country with a smattering of soft rock.
June 25 – Rich Reichner, an acoustic guitarist and singer with a wide variety of musical styles, who plays “original covers” — songs that people immediately recognize but haven’t heard in a while.
The series is sponsored by the Friends of the Topsham Public Library. For information, call 207-725-1727 or visit www.topshamlibrary.org.
