Treat Memorial Library has a lot going on as the weather warms up

LIVERMORE FALLS – The warm weather means that Story Time, held at 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday, is moving outside at Treat Memorial Library.
It’s just one of the spring changes that’s in store for May and following months.
Story time not only includes stories, but songs, a take-home craft, and maybe some sidewalk chalk art.

The new “Rate This Book” shelf at the library. Staff is looking for readers’ opinions on some new books and authors. Rating slips are inserted into the books when they’re checked out, and readers can check off their answers and return the slip after reading the book.
“We thank you in advance for your assistance and hope you will enjoy some (if not all) of the new books,” library staff said. “Maybe you’ll find a new favorite author!”
The Book Club will meet in person at the library as well as on Zoom for those who wish. The next meeting is 3 p.m. Thursday, May 12. The mystery “One of Us is Lying,” by Karen M. McManus, will be discussed. The book is the first in the new “Count on Books” series. The series features books with numbers in the title. Let the staff know if you need a copy of the book.
Bonkers for Books, the biweekly recommendation video on Facebook, shares library staff favorites. It will air on the library Facebook page Saturday, May 14 and 28.
The Summer Reading Program is coming in June – keep an eye out for more information.
Masks are requested at the library to protect vulnerable members of the community. Library staff gives a big thank-you in advance for those who choose to wear a mask.
The library will be closed Tuesday, May 31, in observance of Memorial Day.
