Lisbon Credit Union donates more than $12K to food pantries

Apr. 142022

LISBON – Lisbon Credit Union and its members raised $12,638.19 for the Ending Hunger in Maine Campaign in 2021. The money was donated to Lisbon Area Christian Outreach, of Lisbon Falls, and to Trinity Jubilee Center, of Lewiston.
The biggest fundraisers in 2021 were a fall cash calendar, employee “Pay to Wear Jeans Day” (the first Friday and Saturday of every month), and “Pay to Wear Jeans Week,” held quarterly.
The Ending Hunger in Maine Campaign is a collaborative effort of Maine credit unions, which raise money throughout the year. All money raised is distributed to hunger organizations and food pantries throughout the state, with 100% of the money raised staying in Maine and going to the cause of ending hunger. This year, all money raised by the Lisbon Credit Union and its members will again benefit LACO food pantry, of Lisbon Falls, as well as and Hope Haven Food Pantry, of Lewiston.
