Gloria Varney and Stine Koch from Nezinscot Farm, in Turner, were honored at the Maine State House March 28 with a legislative sentiment for receiving the James Beard Foundation America’s Classic Award in recognition of the farm’s locally owned restaurant, which features quality food reflecting the character of its community. Nezinscot Farm, the Northeast Region Winner, is one of six restaurants from across the nation to receive the award. Varney and Koch were welcomed to the state house by Sen.
