SKOWHEGAN – The Skowhegan Regional Chamber of Commerce has announced new board members that are part of its positive growth through a transition period.
By bolstering its Board of Directors, adding committees, and growing its membership base, the chamber is in an even better position to represent, support and help develop new and existing businesses in the Skowhegan region, chamber officials said.
The goal of growing the board including finding new board members with specific skills and backgrounds while expanding the chamber network within the area’s diverse business community.
New board members are Bayley Hayden, manager of York Signs, in Skowhegan, who is also secretary of the board; Sam Hight, part-owner of the Hight Family of Dealerships, in central and western Maine; Ryan Rutledge, lawyer at Mills, Shay, Lexier and Talbot, in Skowhegan; Dan Tilton, senior vice president at Skowhegan Savings Bank, in Skowhegan; Reid Gibson, owner, Animal Medical Clinic, in Skowhegan; Kayla Bess, sales and marketing director, Maine Grains, in Skowhegan; Jennifer Hight, CPA, OneRiver, in Oakland; Bethany Shalit, director of educationat Redington Fairview General Hospital.
Officers are Luke York, operations manager, 201 Service, chair; Derek Rossignol, biomedical technician at Dialysis Clinic Inc., vice chair; Jeff Peterson, KOA, Canaan, treasurer, and Hayden, secretary. Member Julia Turner, membership and events coordinator, along with York, Rosignol and Peterson, has helped maintain continuity while welcoming change to support the ultimate goal of better promoting and supporting the regional business community.
