Telstar Interact Club raises money for Rotary’s Polio Plus

BETHEL — The Telstar High School Interact Club, a service organization affiliated with the Rotary Club of Bethel, recently raised $100 in a 20-minute collection at the school to support Rotary International’s Polio Plus program. Polio Plus seeks to eradicate polio worldwide.
The Telstar money raised will pay to vaccinate 200 children against the disease.
Club members are Lindsy Stephenson, Megan Cox, Bailey Fraser, Ryan Nivus, Keaton Spiller, Gabby Groves, Nicole Cox, Mia Johanson, Azaria Alcide, Emma Newell, Lily Souther, Vee Hooper and Jocelyn Nivus.
The club members presented the check to Bethel Rotary President Alison Aloisio at the school.
Bethel Rotary also in February welcomed new member Kathleen Willis, who is advancement director at Gould Academy.
