Chamberlain Roundtable Feb. 10 features Civil War history challenge

BRUNSWICK — As a change of pace in the midst of this wintery weather, the Joshua Chamberlain Roundtable will feature an opportunity for members and guests to join in and discover Civil War knowledge together.
Developed by members Phil Schlegel and Mike Bell, The Roundtable Challenge will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at Curtis Memorial Library, 23 Pleasant St. It is free and open to the public.
This challenge, based on Civil War trivia, is an interactive contest with the audience. Some of the questions are based on previous website material (including illustrations).
Bell teaches at the senior college at UMaine Augusta and has written about historic topics for a variety of publications. He is also a past roundtable presenter.
Schlegel has been researching primary source materials concerning a variety of military operations and artifacts in national, state and private archives for decades. As editor of the roundtable website, his current research frequently sources Maine’s contributions during the Civil War. He also has been a roundtable presenter.
