TURNER — Author Mark Griffin will discuss his biography of Rock Hudson at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17 at Turner Public Library, 98 Mathews Way.
Griffin will discuss “All That Heaven Allows: A Biography of Rock Hudson,” published by HarperCollin, after which screening of a 25-minute documentary will be screened.
The event, free and open to the public, will take place on what would have been Hudson’s 96th birthday.
“We are so pleased to have Mr Griffin speaking at our library,” said Library Director Ellen Bradley. ”Bringing to our patrons the expertise and accomplishments of a local native — Griffin grew up in Lewiston/Auburn — is at the core of our mission.”
Griffin is the author of “A Hundred or More Hidden Things: The Life and Films of Vincente Minnelli,” and his interviews, essays and reviews have appeared in scores of publications, including The Boston Globe, Premier and MovieMaker. He recently appeared in the television documentary “Gene Kelly: To Live and Dance.”
