WATERVILLE — New Dimensions Federal Credit Union will join more than 56,000 credit unions around the world to celebrate International Credit Union Day on Thursday, Oct. 21.
ICU Day highlights the many ways that credit unions across the world help members improve their financial health and well-being. Because NDFCU focuses on financial education with its members every day, its focus is on member appreciation, it is offering tours of the Silver Street main office location and will have giveaways at all branches on Thursday, Oct. 21.
NDFCU is celebrating its 65th anniversary along with ICU Day, and tours are from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 94 Silver St.
NDFCU wants to show its members the number of people who work behind the scenes to make their credit union experience a positive one, “And we can’t wait to thank them in person,” company officials said.
Ryan G. Poulin, CEO, said, “Without our members, we would not exist, and we couldn’t be more honored to serve them. We strive to enhance financial wellbeing and to fulfill the dreams of all our members. Many of our members have been with us for over 50 years, and we look forward to working with them in the years to come.”
Credit unions were built on the principle of “people helping people,” and for more than 100 years, since the first credit union was established in Manchester, N.H., that philosophy have provided access to affordable financial products and strived to meet the needs of underserved communities. “NDFCU is honored to be a part of this proud tradition,” the company said in a news release.
