BATH — Kennebec Concerts in Bath, a free summer concert series, is back for 2021.
Starting in late June, free live music will take place at Waterfront Park and the City Park Gazebo.
The Waterfront Park series, 61 Commercial St., is at 6 p.m. every Saturday from July 10 to Aug. 28. Attendees are encourages to bring a lawn chair, and performers range from Maine songwriters Lauren Crosby and Jud Caswell, to Tom Petty tribute band Runnin’ Down a Dream, to Zydeco band Squeezebox Stompers. The series will close out with local favorite Pan Fried Steel, a steel drum band based in Yarmouth.
Tuesday and Friday concerts will take place at 7 p.m. at the City Park Gazebo (next to the Patten Free Library, 33 Summer St.) beginning the week of June 21, through the last week of August. The Bath Swing Band will take the stage on Tuesdays, and a range of band music, from the Portland Symphony Brass Quintet to the Midcoast Symphony String Orchestra to the Bath Municipal Band, will play on Fridays.
All performances for both series will be operated in accordance with state COVID-19 guidelines.

The concerts are hosted by nonprofits Chocolate Church Center for the Arts and Main Street Bath, and sponsored by the city of Bath, Davenport Trust Fund and many local businesses and friends.
