Rumford Elementary will host family event June 8

RUMFORD — It may be early for Halloween, but Rumford Elementary School will host an unusual “Trunk or Treat” summer kickoff event for its families 4 to 6 p.m Tuesday, June 8.
The event will be held outside on the playground to the theme of “The Wizard of Oz.” However, instead of passing out candy from the trunks of cars, as is typically done at Halloween, faculty and staff will be passing out a variety of materials for families to take home to enjoy and to keep up their students’ learning throughout the summer months.
