Home, Hope and Healing Inc., of Smithfield, recently announced its employees of the year.
Home Health Caregiver of the year was Wanda L’Heureux, R.N., above. She has been employed with the company for seven years and is described as a thoughtful, caring and compassionate nurse who takes great pride in providing the best of care to her clients. She displayed admirable flexibility during COVID 19. When her regular clients were unavailable for care, she stepped up to cover clients who needed care on a temporary basis, even traveling quite a distance in order to continue to serve others. Behavioral Health Caregiver of the year was Matthew Owens Jr., (below). Owens has been a community support worker with the company for two years. Owens uses humor to engage the clients he works with and focuses on the positives. He also uses everyday situations for skill building and is able to use the environment around him for goal attainment. He believes in maintaining continuity of care to best meet client needs.
